- Opposing ladder couplet — toes-to-bar ascend from 1 to 10 while heavy deadlifts descend from 10 to 1. Total reps are fixed: 55 of each. The early rounds favor the deadlift skill, the later rounds challenge grip and core under the gymnastic volume. The weight at 225/155 lb makes each round a strength event.
