Athletes choose their own squat weight and set length — heavier loads finish the 10,000 lb requirement faster but force more frequent racking (and thus more burpees). A 200 lb squat for example takes 50 reps to reach 10,000 lb; if broken into 5 sets that means 100 burpees. Strategy matters: finding the right set size minimizes total burpee penalty while maintaining squat speed.
