Heavy couplet pairing high-rep deadlifts with demanding overhead squats at the same load. The 3:1 ratio lets you attack the pull before transitioning to the technically demanding OHS. At 185/135 lb, the overhead squat is the limiting factor — athletes must clean and jerk the bar overhead before each set. Grip and spinal fatigue compound across rounds.
